I decided on a day to take my physique to a new level and contacted Eugene Daamen at ED-Fitness. I was already in great shape at the time but I wanted to add some more lean muscle while dropping body fat. When I started with the program I was 98.7kgs, 8.5% body fat and my lean mass was 90.5kgs. After the 12-week program, Eugene structured for the body type I was 108.4kgs, 6.3% body fat and my lean mass was 101.6kgs. Hi, my name is Marike and this is my journey.. In 2018 my mother took me to meet Eugene Daamen after a doctor told me I would need a gastric bypass to lose weight or I will die.. He started to teach me about God's food and it was going amazing until 2019. I am an emotional eater and alot of things started to go wrong, first I lost my mother, then covid striked, I lost my grandfather and then 2022 I lost my sister-in-law. August 2022 I went to see my nero-surgen I was permanently in pain with my back, to my embarrassment I could not do an MRI I was to fat for the machine. I went to see my normal GP I had high cholesterol, we upped my blood pressure pills to 2 and my insulin resistance was 29. I was killing myself.. So September 6th 2022 I decided enough is enough, who is going to raise my kids. I went back on my emails and started with my eating plans that Eugene gave me in 2018. In January 2023 I had hit a ceiling and my weight was not moving, I have lost 22kg and I didn't want to stop. I emailed Eugene feeling ashamed and nervous, but there was only one person I trusted to help me.... O and did he help me, today I am a total loss of 46kg. My health: I drink 1 blood pressure pil, no cholesterol and the most amazing part no pain, my insulin resistance is 11. No its not n quick fix, no its not a diet. It is hard work, in the begininning the correct motivation, a lot of discipline, the correct knowledge and then the most important part surround yourself with the correct people, your support system can make or break you. Its not a lifestyle change it is changing your entire life! Thank you Eugene for being part of my journey, for being my guide, my support and the person that knows how to push me, without you and your knowledge I would probably have given up. You saved my life!!
